Hello, my name is Adam Howell, and I am delighted and honored to be a part of the Daily Dose team. I grew up in East Tennessee, and attended East Tennessee State University for my undergraduate degrees in Microbiology and Chemistry. I met my wife, Liz, while at ETSU. We married in 2004 and now have four children, Noah (9), Tovah (7), Judah (5), and Norah (4). I began studying at Southern Seminary in the Fall of 2003 and completed my M.Div. in Biblical and Theological Studies in December 2007. I began the Ph.D. in Old Testament Studies in 2008 and finished that degree in May of 2015. I am Assistant Professor of Old Testament Interpretation at Boyce College, the undergraduate school at Southern Seminary.
I am incredibly grateful for the vision of Daily Dose of Hebrew. My heart in teaching is to see God’s people develop a love for the biblical languages, not because there is inherent value in the language itself, but because the biblical languages help us mine the depths of God’s Word. Daily Dose of Hebrew provides the opportunity for students of the Bible to study the original Hebrew so that they can continue to hone the skills of “digging for gold” in God’s Word. I am incredibly honored to be a part of a vision that seeks to keep students learning the Bible for life.
